Friday, November 20, 2020 – Early voting starts today for run-off elections in Orleans Parish and continues until Saturday, November 28 (excluding 11/22, 11/26, and 11/27). In preparation for both early voting and the December 5 election, the Greater New Orleans Housing Alliance (GNOHA) is releasing their run-off candidate scorecard and ballot initiative analysis for Parishwide Proposition 3.
Candidates who took the #PutHousingFirst Pledge promised their commitment to advocating for the production and preservation of affordable housing in New Orleans. Candidates who did not respond or could not fully commit to the #PutHousingFirst Pledge received a 0% F.
While GNOHA does not officially endorse any political candidates, we encourage voters to consider the scorecard as they go to the polls. GNOHA continues to challenge candidates to acknowledge the affordable housing crisis and #PutHousingFirst initiative by releasing a scorecard based on their housing policy platforms.
